Welcome to Chattanooga Primitive Baptist Church

Welcome to the Chattanooga Primitive Baptist Church website.  Nestled at the base of beautiful Signal Mountain in Chattanooga, Tennessee CPBC has been blessed with a long history of worshiping, building up families, and serving God. Our Purpose is to worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24) and thereby help one another to understand and implement God’s word as it applies to every area of life (Heb 10:24).  To accomplish this purpose, our services consist simply of congregational singing, prayer, and clear preaching from the Bible (John 17:17).

When a person first visits a Primitive Baptist Church, he will notice a simple worship service which consists of congregational singing, prayer and preaching. Families of all ages worship together, and singing is acapella (without musical instruments). The focus of the service is on honoring Jesus Christ.

We invite you to join us for one of our weekly services on Sunday mornings at 10:30 AM. We also met on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 6:30 PM.

Chattanooga Primitive Baptist Church is located at

He Hath Not!

Psalms 103:8-10  The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

The Holy Bible, King James Version

Somehow, to me at least, this verse is saying we have not gotten, nor will we ever get exactly what we deserve. How many times have we ever said in the flesh, “I wish I could get what I deserve.” How mistaken we are when we say that. I, for one sinner, surely do not need to say that. I do not wish to get exactly what I deserve because I would be lost world without end for a bleak, dark, and terrible eternity.
